Welcome!

The CarolinasThis Website is set aside to provide information about the Clontz family and their immigration from The Old Country, Germany, to the southern United States. Although history is my academic field, genealogy is not.

In fact, to me, genealogy is almost a foreign language. However, I have been guided by my mother, Dorothy Lee Clontz White, who was a semi-professional genealogist.

Let’s get on to the Clontz family and those with whom we know we’re linked:

  • Baucom
  • Beckham
  • Long
  • White
  • Williams

Of course, as you know, members of these families moved into other territories, colonies, and (finally) states.

Taken in the whole, it weaves a fascinating story, so start browsing!
